One week Mediterranean Cooking holidays in Italy

If you would like to spend your cooking holidays in Italy learning how to cook healthy and varied cuisine then choose our Mediterranean cooking course. Learn to make dishes from four of the most popular cuisines in Europe and North Africa.

The Mediterranean cookery course at Casa Ombuto are more intensive than the Italian full week courses as you have two extra morning lessons on top to the four afternoon sessions.

You will make an elaborate Italian dinner, a Spanish lunch including Paella, an exotic Moroccan dinner with a delicious Tajine, a traditional French Provencal supper with most probably and sea bass in a salt crust, and on top of that, one morning you will learn to make various breads and pastries  - all in one week! Learn to make risotto, pasta's, Foccacia, Tapenade, Ratatouille, Gaspacho, Tortilla, Tagine of chicken, spicy couscous and much much more.

Cooking classes with fresh ingredients and variety

In essence the focus is on using fresh ingredients in season which are prepared to ensure that taste is paramount. You can guess which country is being focused on by the smells coming out of the cantina each day!

The Mediterranean cooking course is given by chef Alice Cornacchini. For dinner you will dine on your creations accompanied by delicious wines to compliment the dishes. We introduce you each evening to different red and white wines from different regions of Italy.

You will receive a cookbook including recipes of all the dishes made during your stay, an exclusive apron and a certificate on completion of the course. Sightseeing and culinary excursions

You will have cooking lessons on 2 morning cooking lessons and 4 afternoon lessons with enough time to relax and enjoy the surroundings or to do some sightseeing in the area in your free time.  A full-day culinary excursion is included with cheese and meta tasting, olive oil tasting, time for shopping in Arezzo and wine tasting in a unique winery and its rounded off with an informal dinner back at your villa after a long but fun day.

Luxurious accommodation in Casa Ombuto

For the one week Mediterranean cookery course you will stay in Casa Ombuto, a spectacular Tuscan villa on a large estate with solar heated pool.  The cooking classes take place at the villa, so no driving to a B&B or hotel after your Cooking lessons. The cooking weeks run from Saturday to Saturday. More information about the villa can be found at accommodation.

Bring along your partner to relax while you slave over a hot stove!

It is also possible to bring along a non-participating partner who can spend the day enjoying the surroundings, sightseeing or playing golf and then join the group for dinner. Non-participating guests are welcome to use all facilities of the villa and join in the excursion.
