I went to Torre del Tartufo this summer by my self. I would highly recommend this cooking experience to everyone; even if you are a novice. Franco is not only an expert chef but a first rate educator. Being an elementary music teacher, I know what it takes to break the experience down so that everyone understands what is expected of them. Franco did this masterfully and with humor “Houston we have a problem”. The menus were interesting and somewhat challenging. However, Franco and Paula came to our aid with patience and understanding. The meals were exquisite. When we sat down to enjoy our dinner we felt proud of what we had created. I have never eaten so splendidly in my entire life.

The staff was very helpful; they treated you like family. Every need was responded to and graciously I might add.. I loved the experience of sitting in the sitting room and playing the piano….just for myself. The décor was simple and elegant.

On Sunday morning, following our culinary experience I was so sad to be leaving this beautiful villa, wonderful accommodations, and friends made for life.

I have recommended this vacation to a number of my friends and family. Now I’m recommending it to you…..this is a once in a lifetime experience. And once you experience del Tartfuo you will want to go back.
