“Put this on your bucket list too”

5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

I was turning 60. I wanted to go to Italy. I wanted to go to cooking school. My wife told me to put together a trip, so I started my research. In the end we picked Tuscookany and Casa Ombuto. Boy, I looked like a genius. The location was wonderful, the staff couldn't have been nicer and the experience was magical. One concern we had is that my wife is gluten free. No problem; our chef Paula worked with my wife to develop unbelievable gluten free recipes. Her pizza was one of the best we've ever tasted and her pasta was really great. We were a small group that week (first week of May) but we bonded well and learned a lot. The accommodations were lovely and the food was...incredible. If anyone is interested in more information, please do not hesitate to contact me. If you like to cook and want to learn in a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere, this is the place to be. We've been home 3 weeks now, and we're still on a Tuscan high.
It certainly made turning 60 quite painless.
