Originally, this was my daughter's dream--to take a week long cooking class in Tuscany. However, this ended up being my first dream vacation of a life-time! From the moment we arrived until the door closed as we left, I felt like I was in a fantasy world. The villa is set high on a hill with a breathtaking 360' view. I'm so glad that we chose Bellorcia because Chef Laura is not only a fantastic chef and instructor but a wonderful person .She puts her heart and soul into her cooking and her teaching. She really cares if everyone is happy with their preparations. Everyone who worked there was great. Sheena, the manager, is the best!!The Italian cooking class was fun, and it was great to eat the meals we prepared during class for dinner each night. We met people from five different countries, including the owners, (who were down to earth and just a wonderful couple!) I definitely left Tuscany with a greater respect for the beauty of nature and its culture. There's free time to do little excursions,.. but I was most happy going back to the villa in all it's splendor. I highly recommend Tuscookany! I don't have a "bucket list". I have an "awesome list"--Places that I have visited and things that I have done in my life time that leave me in "awe". Tuscookany now sits at the top of my list.
