The cooking school/villa at Bellorcia in Tuscany, Italy was a travel destination and experience of a life time! The villa was set in the heart of beautiful Tuscany with rolling hills, including vistas of the countryside which inspired a deep sense of calm. Inside the villa, we were greeted with exceptional accommodations which combined old world sensibilities with completely modern conveniences. The staff was friendly, helpful, and worked together to create a spa- like experience. The chef, Laura Giusti was extremely knowledgeable, passionate about her craft and simply a born teacher with a spirit of joy and playfulness. Alex, the manager, tended to details such as creating evenings with music, beverages and great conversation. He was eager to serve and help us navigate the local area and went above and beyond his duties to make sure we had an unforgettable stay. Filled with laughter and hands on experience, the cooking classes gave us clear knowledge of the exceptional food of the area. The kitchen facility was well equipped with plenty of room to participate and interact. While located close enough to explore local hill towns, I chose to stay at the villa the entire time, because it was just that wonderful. Did I mention the infinity pool? Served inside a beautiful dining room or on the inviting,Tuscan style patio, the food was delicious, adventurous and quite possibly the best I have ever eaten! Wine was hand selected to perfectly enhance the nightly four course dinner. No detail was overlooked! Simply the most exceptional place I have ever stayed with experiences I will never forget. I plan on returning in the near future! I unequivocally recommend Bellorcia, with Chef Laura, as a must on your travel adventure plans!
