I just returned from a weeklong vacation at the new Villa (Bellancino) at Casa Ombuto. I shared this amazing cooking experience w/ 5 friends celebrating our 70th b’days.The Villa is modern & comfortable with some of the best views in Tuscany!There are many amenities including private hot tub, sauna and pool. The staff led by Lena was warm and gracious and accommodated our every need. Our rooms were cleaned daily, restaurant recommendations and reservations made quickly. Transportation arranged or provided for any activity. Laura was our cooking instructor. I can’t think of a person more suited for her job. She was an experienced teacher and fun! We made some amazing food. Everyday we’d discuss the day’s recipes, and techniques then divide the required tasks. We did a lot of cooking! In fact if I had one suggestion I’d like to cook a bit less and enjoy the Villa more. That being said I can’t think which dish to omit. We also toured vineyards/ olive farms, learned about bees and hiked. The Tuscookany experience went way beyond my expectations! It was worth every penny!
